L’Abbraccio d’Oro e Zaffiro
Oil on canvas · 70 × 80 cm · 2024
A figurative painter whose work moves between the Campanian tradition and a contemporary language focused on figures, childhood, motherhood, landscape and memory.
Antonio Iovine’s recent research grows from the encounter between Italian figurative tradition and a more symbolic, inward vision. Female figures, childhood and motherhood become spaces for memory, vulnerability, protection and transformation. Masks, ornament, blue and gold, material surfaces and light are not merely decorative elements, but signs of identity and emotional passage. Precise drawing coexists with freer, more tactile surfaces, creating a balance between reality and imagination. This selection brings together the works that most clearly define this evolution.
Artist biographies are now online at askART, MutualArt and Artfacts. Antonio Iovine has also been officially selected for the 2026 “Luci in Avalon” exhibition in Salerno.
